Maryjo- 10 years of yoga experience
Following a serious bike accident, I had reservations about returning to a group yoga class setting. I sought Corey's services in 2014 to get that one-on-one personalized attention. She planned a class based entirely around my needs and limitations and helped me modify when necessary. I appreciated all the preparation she did before the class even took place and would wholeheartedly recommend her as an instructor! Cecelia- 2 years of yoga experience I signed up to relieve tight muscles for hip pain and wanted to practice consistent stretches. I walk about 15-20,000 steps a day and also practice aerobics. Corey taught me restorative yoga poses as well as some static stretches. She was very well prepared for our classes and helped me understand how to find the therapeutic relief I was looking for in a private lesson. Yogatime Student- 8 years of yoga experience Working with Corey was such a rewarding experience! She not only made practice fun, but also helped me to improve my technique and alleviate pain from an old injury. Corey created thoughtful classes designed to meet the specific needs of the student in each private lesson. She provided terrific corrections and advice, which challenged me to improve my yoga practice. Because she successfully walked the line between making practice both fun and challenging. Jonny- Less than one year of yoga experience I'm a professional musician, making a living off of playing anything between fifteen and twenty gigs a month. All this left me with aching shoulders, back, arms, wrists, and knees. I started working with Corey at the end of 2014 and she started me with some very basic poses and flows, mostly getting me acquainted with how Yoga works. While I was learning the method, she also kept a close eye on some of my joints and bones that hurt. Over the course of about six weeks, she gradually developed a series of stretches specifically for me to do before and after gigs. Corey was able to help me at my own pace, and with the utmost patience. She's a remarkable teacher, and a wonderful individual. |
Jennifer- less than 1 year yoga experience (Current Student)
My work and commuting schedule have made it difficult for me to find time to attend yoga classes. I decided to request private classes in 2019 with Corey because I knew she would be patient with new learners. She set me on a course to learn the proper form for a variety of poses and she really took her time with instruction. I liked that Corey was flexible and tailored each session to what I was feeling or experiencing that day. For example, if my back was tight, she would incorporate some stretches or poses to loosen my lower back, hips, etc. I’ve also incorporated a lot of the standing poses we practiced (tree pose, in particular) into my routine at the gym. Taylor- 3 years yoga experience When my partner and I decided to include yoga in our wedding weekend, we knew we wanted to call Corey. She is a friend and we have seen her grow throughout her yoga teacher training. We chose Corey not only because she is a friend but because of the love and dedication she brings to her practice and training. We ended up with over 30 participants with varying levels of yoga training. Corey was able to create a fun practice that incorporated gentle flows and awakening bends that was accessible to everyone. It was exactly the type of practice we and the group needed to create a positive start to the day. We are so pleased we asked Corey to host the group session. Annette- 5 years yoga experience I have participated in group classes where Corey was the yoga instructor. Corey is one of the most thoughtful instructors; she takes her time, has an immense amount of patience and guides students with careful alignment cues. You won't find a more compassionate yoga instructor. |
